Happy Easter!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I’d like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy Easter. Over the last couple of months since I last updated you on International Village news, we have continued to make rapid progress on our interior and exterior building renovations – including beautiful new tile, fresh paint jobs and other improvements to several buildings, with some new carpeting on the way. While the buildings are looking better than ever, we also continue to receive many compliments on the dramatically improved looks of the grounds, thanks to our excellent new landscaping company.  Meanwhile, our financials are in better shape than they’ve been in years due to the current board’s very proactive approach to collecting fees from delinquent owners, which of course has allowed us to keep maintenance fees down for everyone else. Many owners have told me they’ve never felt better about living in International Village, and that’s something we can all be proud of!

  1. renovations? how many more years are we going to spend wasting money on needless renovations? mind you, the work being done is not of the professional quality. ive noticed work being done here by residents and by members of the maintenance team.

speaking of maintenance, im disgusted by the fact that they are "double dipping." spending their time here making money on the side doing jobs for residents, instead of tending to their duties as maintenance workers. ive seen maintenance guys on the clock getting paid by residents to put down tile in apartments. this should not be down during the hours for which they get paid to work for international village.

i seriously doubt our financials are in better shape. if they were, our HOA fees would be reduced by more than just a few bucks. by the way, the property management team sucks. they are prejudice. they talk down to you as if you are in the principals office.

who the hell is gil? i have yet to see him do anything. its as if he just comes here to collect a paycheck. the assistant property manager does work but she is rude and its as if she wants to turn international village into hispanic town. she gives preferential treatment to hispanics. management is made up solely of hispanics. maintenance is mainly hispanics. the computer guy is hispanic. it wouldnt surprise me if soon our board was all hispanic. i bring this up because as a hispanic myself, my non-hispanic neighbors are growing wary of the lack of diversity in the community. this is the united states of america. not cuba. not dominican republic. not puerto rico. and so. dont come to my country and act like you are still in yours.
